Years Corporate Leadership
Strategy, marketing, business intelligence & planning in multinationals across many industries and markets.
I came to Belgium 18 years ago as an expat — and somewhere along the way, this became home. Today I'm the mother of two, and Belgium is where I've built my life.
For 21 years, I built a career across four multinational companies, working in strategy, marketing, and planning. It was demanding, international work that I was good at — and for a long time, it felt like the whole picture.
As an independent real estate consultant, my analysis is entirely independent — I am not paid by sellers and earn no commission on a purchase.
In 2018, a burn-out changed that. It was a hard chapter, but it was also the moment I understood something clearly: I would not have a corporate job forever, and inside a large company, I was ultimately a number on an org chart. If I wanted real security for my future, I would have to build it myself.
That realization led me to my first investment property, in the Leuven area. I expected it to be a practical decision. Instead, it became something I genuinely loved. I started spending my evenings studying the Belgian real estate market — not because I had to, but because I wanted to. What began as a hobby became a real course of study: while still working full-time, I completed a real estate program through evening classes at SYNTRA Leuven, entirely in Dutch.
By the time I finished the program, I knew this was where I wanted to go next. When my employer closed its Belgian branch at the end of 2024, the timing that once felt like an ending became my opening — the chance to close one career and step fully into the one I actually wanted.
Today, I think of myself as both an expert and a student of the Belgian real estate market. I learn something new almost every day — from my network of real estate professionals, from investment podcasts, from market news, and just as much from my clients, whose goals and questions keep opening new horizons for me too. That continuous learning, and the trust clients place in me along the way, is genuinely what I enjoy most about this work.
